An award-winning media professional, Patrick Crowley served as an art director at Billboard magazine from 2014 to 2017. In 2017 he founded Billboard Pride to highlight LGBTQ musicians. He helped to develop social media channels for the platform and increased Instagram followers to more than 100,000 in just six months. Patrick Crowley’s notable achievements with Billboard Pride include launching the Love Letter campaign, which invited popular stars such as Britney Spears, Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande to write letters of appreciation to the LGBTQ community. He also developed the Spillin’ the Tea drag queen roundtable series.

Mr. Crowley worked with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) to produce a video in rapid response to a United States military ban on transgender soldiers. With guest appearances by artists such as Dua Lipa, Sia, and The Chainsmokers, the video helped earn Billboard its first GLAAD Media Award.

A graduate of Iowa State University with a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design, Patrick Crowley previously served as art director of Guitar World and Guitar Aficionado. When he is not working, he enjoys discovering new music and perusing vintage album art and concert posters.
